Job summary

Build Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Electrician to join a busy team carrying out electrical maintenance on MOD domestic properties across Devon. The role is primarily Plymouth-focused, with the successful candidate based where suitable to cover the area.

This is a fantastic permanent opportunity offering £39,000–£42,000 per year, a company van and fuel card, and a 40-hour week. DBS check and security clearance will be required due to government site work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition electrical installation standard.
• 2391 qualification desirable.
• Experience in domestic electrical maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs on domestic properties.
• Fault finding and problem solving on site.
• Carry out electrical testing where required.
• Complete remedial works to a high standard.
• Provide professional service to customers.
• Report to Supervisor and update on completed works.
• Complete job sheets and paperwork; travel between properties.
• Drive company van safely and responsibly.

Build Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a busy and friendly team carrying out electrical maintenance on MOD domestic properties across Devon.

The role will mainly cover Plymouth, with the successful candidate based within a suitable location to cover the area.

Electrician The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance and repairs on domestic properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Duties will include:

• Carrying out electrical maintenance and repairs on domestic properties


• Fault finding and problem solving


• Carrying out electrical testing where required


• Completing remedial works


• Providing a professional service to customers


• Reporting to the Supervisor and keeping them updated on completed works


• Completing job sheets and relevant paperwork


• Travelling between properties in a company van


• Driving the company vehicle safely and responsibly

Electrician Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

• Good experience carrying out domestic electrical maintenance


• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills


• Full UK driving licence
