Multi Skilled Engineer - Electrical Bias

Based: On site at Rolls-Royce Ansty, Coventry.

Hours: 40hrs Monday - Friday

What this job involves:

As an Multi Skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias at JLL, you'll be part of a team that's shaping a brighter way for our client Rolls-Royce and fellow employees. You'll apply your expertise to design, install, and maintain electrical systems in various commercial and industrial settings. What your day-to-day will look like:

  • maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of low voltage electrical systems, including but not limited to lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, security systems, emergency lighting, and access control.
  • Testing and Inspection: Conduct regular testing and inspection of low voltage electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant codes. Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately.
  • Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve faults in low voltage electrical systems, using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques. Carry out repairs and replacements as necessary to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime, increase system reliability, and extend the lifespan of low voltage electrical systems. Create and maintain maintenance schedules.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Comply with electrical regulations, codes, and standards to ensure safety and minimize risks. Report any hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals and customer satisfaction. Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required. Documentation and
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, work orders, and equipment inventory. Ensure that relevant documentation and records are up to date.

Requirements:

  • C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation (Or Equivalent)
  • C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert preferred)
  • 18th edition
  • Strong Electrical & HVAC experience
  • Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
  • Knowledge of building fabric and experience in carrying out basic fabric reactive repairs when required
  • Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations about maintenance activities
  • Must be prepared to work out of hours when required
  • Have good communication and organisation skills
  • Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Must have a full UK driving license
  • Ability to work on own or as part of a team
