Job summary

ITS (Bristol) Ltd seeks a qualified Electrician for a 12-month fixed-term contract to perform Domestic Testing and Inspection across Bristol and Bath. You will conduct EICRs on domestic properties, ensure compliance with BS 7671, and produce accurate certifications while delivering excellent customer service.

Required are NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, 18th Edition, and City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent Testing & Inspection qualification.
• Proven experience in domestic electrical testing and inspection.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICRs on domestic properties.
• Test and inspect new and existing electrical installations.
• Identify faults and non-compliances per BS 7671.
• Complete certification and documentation accurately.
• Liaise with homeowners, tenants, and site contacts.
• Ensure work is safe and regulatory compliant.
• Travel between projects across Bristol and Bath.

Salary: £27 - 31 phr

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and reliable Electrician to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to carry out testing and inspection works on domestic properties across Bristol and Bath.

This role is ideal for an electrician with strong experience in domestic installations and electrical testing who takes pride in producing accurate certification and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on domestic properties.
• Perform testing and inspection of new and existing electrical installations.
• Identify faults, defects, and non-compliances in accordance with BS 7671.
• Complete all relevant certification and documentation accurately.
• Liaise professionally with homeowners, tenants, and site contacts.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations.
• Travel between projects throughout Bristol and Bath.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395, or equivalent Testing & Inspection qualification.
• Proven experience in domestic electrical testing and inspection.

Desirable

• Previous experience carrying out EICRs for landlords, housing providers, or domestic contractors.
• ECS/JIB card.
