The Company

An independent, leading technical services provider, based in a thriving Telford events venue, is looking for an Electrical & Venue Services Technician to join their dedicated team. They are specialists in creating and delivering seamless venue services and technical solutions for a wide range of internal and external events.

The Role

Due to continued growth, the company is looking for an Electrical & Venue Services Technician to join their team and be responsible for the allocated venue services for events.

Under the guidance of the Technical Services Manager, this role is essential in providing a seamless, compliant service to all clients and their teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing and commissioning a range of electrical systems (single and three phase) and data networking.
  • Ensuring client event installations are completed on time and providing the highest level of customer service during the process.
  • Collating all relevant paperwork for electrical installations to ensure a smooth invoicing process.
  • Routinely checking, diagnosing, and performing maintenance on all equipment.
  • Providing support for electrical installations, lighting packages, and for rigging and de-rigging.
  • Implementing and delivering first-class Health & Safety standards across all work sites.
  • Working with the wider team to ensure all events are delivered on time.
The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the electrical industry in a similar role. We are looking for an Electrical & Venue Services Technician who is a structured, organised problem-solver with a strong attention to detail and knowledge of statutory requirements.

Essential skills and experience include:

  • City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS:7671 2018). (must have or equivalent)
  • Experience diagnosing technical faults and performing repairs.
  • Ability to install and connect all types of electrical cables and make data connections.
  • Normal colour acuity.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of clients.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and take control of specific electrical projects.

A City & Guilds Electrical Installation NVQ Level 3 is preferred but not essential.
