Job summary

JTL in Preston is seeking an Electrical Tutor to inspire the next generation of electricians. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching for the Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship programme. Candidates must possess a Level 3 electrical qualification and strong technical knowledge. The position offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, an attractive salary of up to £45,500 based on skills and experience, and excellent benefits including a generous pension scheme and professional development support.

Qualifications

• Level 3 electrical qualification (or equivalent) with strong technical knowledge and industry experience.
• GCSE/O-Level Maths and English (A–C, 9–4) or Level 2 equivalent.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and IT skills.
• Commitment to your own ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching for Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship programme.
• Use subject expertise to explain concepts clearly and confidently.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment results.
• Support apprentices’ personal growth by building confidence and resilience.
