Job summary

JTL Training Centre Nottingham currently seeks an experienced Electrical Tutor to plan and deliver high-quality theoretical and practical learning for Level 3 electrical apprentices. You will oversee progress, adapt teaching to student needs and support colleagues across the centre.

You will bring Level 2/3 Electrical install certs, a Level 3 Education & Training qualification, and current BS 7671 18th Edition status, plus teaching experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Level 2 and Level 3 Technical Certificates in Electrical Installation.
• Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
• Current BS 7671 18th Edition qualification.
• Level 3 Inspection and Testing qualification.
• Level 3 TAQA Award, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent.
• At least two years’ teaching or training experience.
• Verifiable electrical industry experience.
• Experience delivering and assessing theory and practical learning.
• Experience planning and adapting teaching to meet needs.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical teaching for Level 3 apprenticeship.
• Take full responsibility for progress and achievement of apprentice groups.
• Plan, sequence and adapt teaching to meet individual and group needs.
• Use effective pedagogical approaches and retrieval practice.
• Follow and contribute to curriculum, schemes of work and resources.
• Assess apprentices’ knowledge and practical skills per requirements.
• Monitor attendance, engagement and progress; take timely action.
