A respected, family-owned engineering business in Leeds is looking for an experienced Electrical Testing Engineer to join its high-performing Operations team. The Role

Reporting to the Senior Testing Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of electrical power products — both in-house and on customer sites. Key responsibilities include:

• In‑house testing of transformers, marshalling enclosures and control panels
• Testing LV cabinets and control devices
• Carrying out protection modifications
• Fault‑finding and problem‑solving to a high technical standard
• Supporting the delivery of high‑quality, safe and compliant products

Knowledge & Experience Required

• Proven experience testing
• Electrical qualifications and strong knowledge of electrical regulations (essential)
• Ability to confidently read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Risk Assessment practices
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style
• Experience in continuous improvement or lean environments (advantageous)
• Methodical, detail‑focused and able to work to high technical standards
• Flexible approach with the willingness to support other departments when needed
