Job summary

PTSG Group is seeking experienced Hybrid Testing & Remedial Electricians to join our Electrical Safety division in Oxford. You will perform EICRs on commercial/industrial sites, identify faults and issue clear remediation actions, and deliver compliant outcomes across customer sites.

The role combines investigative testing with practical remedial work, with opportunities to advance within a growing, market-leading safety specialist.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3, AM2 or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent inspection/testing qualifications.
• Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience carrying out electrical installation work within commercial environments.
• Fixed wire testing experience would be highly advantageous.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job properly first time.
• Someone who can work independently while still being a great team player.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on commercial and industrial electrical installations.
• Identifying faults, non-compliances and potential risks, then producing high-quality reports that provide clear recommendations
• Completing remedial and rectification works following inspections, ensuring installations meet the latest BS7671 requirements
• Producing Minor Works Certificates, Remedial Completion Reports and associated compliance documentation
• Carrying out additional specialist inspections and testing, including emergency lighting, RCD testing, thermographic surveys and distribution board maintenance
• Working directly with customers on-site, providing a professional service while representing PTSG to the highest standard
• Using modern testing equipment and reporting software to deliver accurate, efficient results
• Staying up to date with industry regulations, standards and best practice

Location: Oxford - Regional coverage (your office could be a school one day, a retail unit the next)

Salary: £60,000 OTE (Competitive salary + bonus opportunities, company van, fuel card and comprehensive benefits)

Hours: Normal working hours are days, however there are requirements for unsocial working to accommodate customer needs.
