• Clarify and execute switching instructions with high accuracy.
• Assist in implementing safety protocols and isolation procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections and monitor HV network performance.

Position: Electrical Technician (Switchgear) – Up to $3,500 – Alexandra – ALL WELCOME!

Working hours: 5 Days Work Week – Monday to Friday: 8AM to 5PM / 8.30AM to 5.30PM / 9AM to 6PM / 9.30AM to 6.30PM / 10AM to 7PM

Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $3,500 Basic

Duration: Years Contract (Renewable or Convertible to Perm)

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and monitor SPPA’s 6.6kV and 22kV high-voltage distribution equipment, systems, and apparatus.
• Receive, clarify, and execute switching and operational instructions from the Authorised Person (AP) with a high degree of accuracy.
• Assist in the implementation of safety protocols, including permit-to-work systems and isolation procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections and monitoring of HV network performance to ensure system integrity.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Switching Personnel for 22/6.6KV switchgear; experience with SPPG projects will be an advantage.
• Candidates who have completed and passed relevant training courses for Operation Personnel will be considered an advantage.
