Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment has a live opening for an Electrical Technician (CompEx / Hazardous Environments) in Aberdeen. You will join a specialist manufacturer of subsea equipment, working on safety-critical electrical installations and certification for hazardous areas.

The role requires time served electrical experience, ATEX/IECEx knowledge, and CompEx EX01-04 qualification. You will mentor workshop staff and ensure compliant FAT procedures while delivering high standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical support to workshop staff, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Oversee electrical equipment installation within a manufacturing environment.
• Produce electrical documentation and certification for units under build.
• Ensure compliance with hazardous area installation requirements (ATEX / IECEx).
• Assist in FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) procedures.
• Support the production of ATEX and associated certification documentation.
• Supervise and mentor team members and contractors when required.

Are you a Time Served Electrician or Electrical Engineer with experience working in hazardous areas, looking to join a specialist manufacturer providing the chance to work on industry-leading equipment?

You will be responsible for overseeing electrical installations, producing electrical certification and documentation, supporting hazardous area equipment builds, and mentoring workshop staff to ensure work is completed safely and to the highest standard.

This role would suit a Time Served Electrician or Electrical Engineer with a strong electrical installation or maintenance background, who is EX01-EX04 qualified.

£22 - £25 Per Hour + Training + Progression + Life Insurance + Free Parking + Early Friday Finish

The Role

• Provide electrical support to workshop staff, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
