Job summary

Extension Recruitment is assisting a global engineering business in Blyth, Northumberland to recruit an Electrical Technician on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves inspecting, assembling, testing and pre-commissioning assemblies and sub-assemblies while meeting project delivery timelines.

You will review tooling requirements, carry out assembly in line with drawings, and perform electrical installations on projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certified to operate workshop plant and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Check parts for assembly are available from stores and identify shortages.
• Review tooling requirements for specific project with Supervisor.
• Carry out assembly and build in line with engineering drawings and information.
• Carry out electrical installation works on projects as required.
• Review drawings and understand system assembly with support of Electrical Supervisor as required.

About the role

As Electrical Technician, you will inspect, assemble, test and pre-commission assemblies and sub-assemblies and installations as required to meet project delivery.

• Review tooling requirements for specific project(s) with relevant Supervisor.

About You

The successful Electrical Technician will be time served in relevant trade and will have preferred experience of heavy engineering environment.
