We're looking for a practical, motivated, and safety-conscious Technician Trainer to join our Construction team at Peterborough College. You'll use your real-world experience to train, support and inspire learners on our Construction programmes - helping them gain the hands‑on skills and confidence they need for successful careers.

What You'll Do
  • Deliver practical training and support in electrical and construction skills
  • Coach and assess learners in workshops and on accredited programmes
  • Maintain tools, materials and equipment to a high standard
  • Supervise learners in workshops, ensuring a safe and positive environment
  • Keep workshops organised, stocked, and compliant with Health & Safety regulations
  • Work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences
Qualifications
  • Experience in the construction or electrical industry
  • A good working knowledge of health and safety in a workshop environment
  • Strong practical skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence working with young people and adult learners
  • A positive, can‑do attitude and a passion for sharing your skills
  • Ideally, a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area (or willingness to work towards)
  • Level 3 Award in Education & Training (PTLLS) or equivalent
  • Emergency First Aid and Health & Safety certifications
