Are you an experienced electrical fitter, jointer, or engineer looking to take the next step into a supervisory role?

Do you have a background in DNO or IDNO electrical installation works and want to play a key role in delivering substation and MSU projects from cradle to grave?

This is a great opportunity to join a growing utilities and infrastructure business, supporting the delivery of electrical works across a range of substation and MSU projects. You will work closely with senior management while being given scope to influence how the role develops over time.

The position will involve overseeing electrical works from early planning through to completion, supporting the coordination of resources, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role would suit an experienced fitter, jointer, or electrical engineer seeking increased responsibility within a project‑focused environment.

This role offers a clear pathway into a supervisory position within a well‑established utilities environment, providing long‑term career progression for the right individual.

The Role
  • Support the day‑to‑day coordination of electrical and jointing resources, including subcontractors
  • Oversee substation installations, inspections, cable terminations and electrical fit‑outs
  • Assist with planning, programming and material requirements for works
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and DNO/IDNO representatives
  • Attend site meetings and manage quality issues through to close‑out
The Person
  • Electrical or jointing background within a DNO or IDNO environment
  • Experience working on substation or MSU installations
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications
  • A proactive, professional approach with a focus on quality and customer service
