Overview

Job Title: Electrical Supervisor

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire

Salary: £50,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Supervisor to lead and oversee electrical works across a range of projects in Stevenage and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for supervising a team of electricians, ensuring that all electrical installations, maintenance, and repair activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of electrical teams and subcontractors.

  • Plan, allocate, and monitor workloads to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

  • Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations (BS 7671) and company health & safety policies.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and testing to verify the quality and safety of installations.

  • Provide technical support, guidance, and training to team members.

  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and test certificates.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency across the electrical department.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification.

  • ECS Gold Card (Supervisor or Approved Electrician level).

  • Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent) desirable.

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or lead electrician role.

  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.
