Job summary

Trant Engineering is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead on-site electrical teams on a Water project. You will supervise subcontractors, coordinate with civil/mechanical teams and ensure compliance with BS 7671, regulations, and project specs. You’ll also drive safety, documentation, and timely delivery.

The role requires 5–7 years’ electrical installation experience, a supervisory background, and 18th Edition certified knowledge. Attractive benefits and a competitive package apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) knowledge is essential.
• Experience on industrial/infrastructure projects (5–7 years).
• Previous supervisory role experience (2–3 years).
• JiB Gold Card is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical operatives and subcontractors on site.
• Allocate work based on competence, project priorities and programme.
• Monitor productivity, workmanship and compliance with specs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
• Oversee installation of electrical systems and ensure design conformance.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical and process teams.
• Enforce HSE procedures and ensure safe isolation and permits.
