Job summary

Dalkia is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead a five-person team at Dungeness Power Station, coordinating maintenance, planning workloads and ensuring work is carried out safely to high standards. This is a safety-critical, supervisory role rather than a hands-on position.

The ideal candidate will hold an electrical qualification, have supervisory experience, and demonstrate strong H&S knowledge, communication, and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality results.

Working Pattern: Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30 | Friday 08:00–13:00

Lead an Electrical Team in a Safety-Critical Environment

Dalkia is looking for an experienced and motivated Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Dungeness Power Station.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified professional who enjoys leading people, coordinating work and maintaining high standards across a complex, safety-critical environment.

You’ll supervise a team of five electrical staff, ensuring work is planned, coordinated and delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard. This is a supervisory role and is not a hands-on, tools-based position.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of the electrical team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and supporting a team of five electrical operatives, allocating tasks and managing workloads.
  • Planning and coordinating a range of electrical maintenance activities.
  • Overseeing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and ensuring work is completed safely and effectively.
  • Carrying out and reviewing risk assessments and ensuring safe systems of work are followed.
  • Arranging safety permits and completing task instructions in line with site requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and Dungeness site standards.
  • Coordinating and managing subcontractors working on site.
  • Planning labour requirements and coordinating the availability of materials, tools and equipment.
  • Providing clear direction and leadership to the electrical team.
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and professionalism at all times.
What You’ll Bring

We're looking for someone who can take ownership, lead by example and confidently coordinate electrical activities in a safety-critical environment.

You’ll ideally have:

  • An electrical qualification appropriate to the role.
  • Previous electrical supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • A strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • The ability to organise people, workloads and resources effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues, contractors and site stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering high standards.
