Job summary

RTL Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor for a commercial construction project in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role involves supervising electrical installation works on site and coordinating with electricians and subcontractors to ensure safety and high standards.

You will read electrical drawings and specifications, align with other trades, monitor progress, and support testing and commissioning in line with health & safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
• Relevant electrical qualifications.
• Good leadership and communication skills.

Electrical Supervisor Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical installation works on site
• Manage electricians and electrical subcontractors
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Coordinate electrical works with other trades and site management
• Monitor progress and ensure project deadlines are met
• Carry out quality inspections and assist with testing and commissioning
• Manage materials, labour, and daily site activities
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical regulations and health & safety requirements
• Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on commercial projects
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations
