Job summary

Gearing Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installation, maintenance, repair and commissioning across water and wastewater projects. You will supervise electrical teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is safe, on programme, and compliant with specifications.

The role involves coordinating with project managers, site teams and clients, maintaining quality records, permits to work, risk assessments, and handover documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities on site.
• Manage electrical operatives and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, project specifications, and company procedures.
• Promote a strong health, safety, environmental, and quality culture across all site activities.
• Ensure permits to work, risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work are in place and followed.
• Coordinate electrical activities with mechanical, civil, instrumentation, control, and commissioning teams.
• Monitor progress against project programmes, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Inspect completed works to ensure quality standards are met and resolve any defects or non-conformances.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
• Maintain accurate site records, inspection and test documentation, progress reports, and handover information.
• Liaise with clients, site management, design teams, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Ensure materials, tools, plant, and resources are available to support planned works.
• Support the development of junior team members and promote best practice across the electrical team.
