Job summary

Scantec is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to work at HMP Haverigg, overseeing a team of electricians on site while Fire Alarm installations are carried out. This is a short-term contract initially for 3 months with potential to extend up to 12 months.

Starting dates 5th or 12th October 2026, Monday to Friday 8:00am–4:30pm; no overtime. Candidates must have NVQ Level 3 Electrical, CSCS, SSSTS, and active SC Clearance or EL1 Prison Clearance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent.
• CSCS Card.
• SSSTS.
• Experience supervising teams of electricians.
• Experience overseeing electrical installation works.

Rate: £350 per day

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Ensuring works are completed correctly and to the required standards
• Monitoring the quality and progress of electrical installation works
• Ensuring site safety and procedures are followed
• Supporting the team with any technical or installation queries

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent
• Valid CSCS Card
• SSSTS
• Previous experience supervising teams of electricians
• Experience overseeing electrical installation works

Candidates must hold either:

• Active SC Clearance or EL1 Prison Clearance

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor looking for a long-term contract, with the initial 3-month contract expected to extend up to 12 months.
