Job summary

Hampshire Recruitment Group is seeking an Electrical Supervisor for a fast-paced student accommodation project in Brentford (TW8). The role covers overseeing electrical works, coordinating inspections, and delivering the project to Building Control sign-off within a tight schedule.

The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory experience on large-scale construction, be SMSTS/SSSTS-certified, and capable of managing trades while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on commercial, residential, student accommodation, or large-scale construction projects.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential) is preferred for site safety and compliance.
• Strong understanding of electrical installations, testing, and commissioning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervising electrical operatives and subcontractors on site
• Ensuring all outstanding electrical installations and remedial works are completed
• Coordinating with Building Control and project teams
• Managing quality inspections, snagging, and final commissioning activities
• Monitoring health & safety compliance across the site
• Ensuring works align with drawings, specifications and regulations
• Providing daily progress updates to the Project Manager
• Supporting the successful handover of the project

Our client, a leading M&E contractor, requires an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a major student accommodation development in Brentford (TW8) for the final push towards Building Control sign-off and project completion.

This is a fast-paced role where you'll be responsible for overseeing the completion of outstanding electrical works, managing site teams, coordinating inspections, and ensuring the project is delivered to the required standards within a tight timeframe.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising electrical operatives and subcontractors on site


• Ensuring all outstanding electrical installations and remedial works are completed


• Coordinating with Building Control and project teams


• Managing quality inspections, snagging, and final commissioning activities


• Monitoring health & safety compliance across the site


• Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and regulations


• Providing daily progress updates to the Project Manager


• Supporting the successful handover of the project

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on commercial, residential, student accommodation, or large-scale construction projects


• Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential)


• Strong understanding of electrical installations, testing, commissioning, and project close-out procedures


• Ability to manage trades and subcontractors effectively


• Excellent organisational and communication skills


• ECS/JIB card preferred


• Available to start Monday
