Electrical Site Supervisor – 3 Month Contract, Cambridge

Rubicon Consulting is recruiting an Electrical Site Supervisor for a 3 month contract based in Cambridge.

Role Summary

Assist the site manager and supervise the electrical works on site, including interfacing with and sensibly monitoring any subcontractors while feeding back the necessary information to the site manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance to CDM regulations on site.
  • Ensure all setting to work procedures are followed.
  • Ensure works are delivered to a programme whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
  • Produce reports and provide information in a timely manner.
  • Provide sufficient and timely supervision and guidance to ensure staff and sub‑contractors are performing to agreed production levels.
  • Maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively.
  • Perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team.
  • Comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions.
  • Support clients and ensure all agreed KPIs are met or exceeded.
  • Promote best practice, capture best practice and ensure it is fed‑back into the business.
  • Lead by example in health, safety, quality & environmental management.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project and assist with the generation of as‑built drawings.
  • Assist with the implementation of Safe Systems of Work including issuing Permits to Dig.
  • Set others to work and monitor throughout the task / project.
Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • National Grid Competent Person NSI 6 & 8.
  • IOSHH Managing Safely or SMSTS or SSSTS.
  • CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the T&D industry, preferably on National Grid sites.
  • Relevant previous experience at a supervisory level.
