Are you a qualified electrician with hands‑on experience delivering grid‑tied commercial and industrial Solar PV systems in the UK? We are looking for an Electrical Site Manager with a strong understanding of PV and battery systems, ideally including SolarEdge technology.

A company in the global digital & sustainable lighting solutions is currently looking for this individual to join their team in January 2026. This is a key management role within a company that delivers a significant number of commercial and industrial renewable projects each year. You will take ownership of site operations, manage installation teams and subcontractors, and ensure all commercial Solar PV projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate installation teams and subcontractors across multiple UK sites.
  • Oversee commercial Solar PV and battery storage installations from start to finish.
  • Conduct pre‑tender surveys and provide technical input on design and procurement.
  • Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations, health & safety legislation and company standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, addressing questions and concerns.
  • Supervise testing, commissioning and handover of completed systems.
  • Inspect new and existing installations, resolving technical or performance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting for all projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement and uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Travel to UK sites, as majority of your time will be spent on‑site.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • C&G 2360 Part 1 & 2, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • C&G 2391 (or 2394/2395) and 18th Edition (BS 7671).
  • MCS‑accredited training/certification in Solar PV installation (e.g. C&G 2922, BPEC or LCL Level 3 in Solar PV and EESS).
  • NICEIC or NAPIT QS experience.
  • Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).
  • ECS Gold Card and full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Proven leadership experience managing installation teams and subcontractors.
  • Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
