Job description

Electrical Site Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee electrical works on a commercial new build project. This freelance role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, proven commercial project experience, and a commitment to delivering high quality installations safely and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site electrical activities, including supervising electricians and subcontractors.
• Review, interpret, and ensure compliance with electrical drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• Conduct regular site inspections and oversee quality control across all installation works.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with other trade managers, the Project Manager, and Site Manager.
• Ensure full adherence to health & safety regulations, including RAMS, PPE, and safe systems of work.
• Review and sign off electrical testing, inspection, and commissioning documentation.
• Monitor progress, highlight risks or delays, and implement corrective actions where required.
• Support snagging, defect resolution, and preparation of handover documentation.
• Maintain accurate daily and weekly site records, including reports, timesheets, and materials monitoring.
