Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer in Manchester to conduct electrical maintenance and fault finding on automated production machinery. The role offers a competitive salary between £44,000 and £46,000, plus overtime.

Qualified candidates should have electrical maintenance experience, strong fault-finding skills, and will benefit from ongoing training and exposure to modern automation technology.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads on shift.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical Maintenance, fault finding, and planned preventive maintenance on automated production machinery.
• Maximise equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

Electrical maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment

Hands-on experience with planned preventive maintenance

Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Experience with PLC fault finding

Education

NVQ Level 2 or higher in an engineering discipline

Tools

Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, inverters, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and automated machinery
