Electrical Shift Engineer — Salary: £59,000

Shift: Panama Days and Nights

Location: Elton, Chester

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading heavy industrial manufacturer. The Maintenance Engineer can be either electrically or mechanically biased but must have strong electrical skills and hold an engineering qualification. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, diagnosing faults, and repairing equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. You'll play a vital role in maintaining machinery reliability, supporting production teams, and driving improvements in performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
  • Diagnose faults and repair equipment to minimize downtime and maximise reliability.
  • Support production teams with maintenance-related activities and improvements in performance and efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Have an electrical engineering qualification.
  • Strong electrical skills, including fault-finding and repairs.
  • Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments (preferred, but open to candidates from other sectors).
  • A proactive approach to maintenance, with a focus on minimising downtime and improving equipment reliability.
