Electrical Field Service Engineer

Varicon (3D) Drives UK Ltd is a well‑established and growing business, providing nationwide maintenance and support for industrial and commercial UPS and inverter drive systems. Following recent contract wins, we are expanding our electrical team and seeking skilled Electrical Field Service Engineers to join us.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys varied, hands‑on work, nationwide travel, and the chance to develop expertise with specialist systems. Full product training will be provided.

The Role:

• Installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of UPS and inverter drive systems.
• Working with single‑phase and three‑phase wiring systems.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and control logics.
• Occasional hands‑on mechanical tasks (e.g., drilling, wiring).
• Nationwide travel, with occasional overnight stays.

The Person:

• We are looking for an Electrically Biased Engineer / Electrician with a Level 3 (or UK equivalent) qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Ideally 18th Edition certification.
• Experience with single and three‑phase systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• A flexible approach to travel and customer service.
