Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering in Glasgow is seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery on high voltage projects, with a focus on substations, switchgear installations and cable works. You will manage budgets, interim valuations, final accounts and subcontractor payments, ensuring value for money and compliance with the Kirby ISMS.

The role requires strong cost control, documentation, and collaboration with planning engineers and project teams to drive timely, on-budget

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
• Proficient in Excel with strong cost-control ability.
• Knowledge of contract conditions and their applications.
• Excellent communication and administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial delivery of HV electrical projects focusing on substations, switchgear and cabling.
• Budgeting, interim valuations, final accounts and cost control.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, interim valuations and payments per terms.
• Prepare interim and final accounts and progress applications with detailed backups.
