Job summary

SER Limited in Manchester is seeking an experienced Qualifying Supervisor (QS) to oversee electrical installations, ensuring compliance with BS 7671, Building Regulations and NICEIC requirements. You will lead inspection, testing and certification processes, and provide technical guidance across projects.

The role requires a solid track record in electrical supervision, a deep understanding of regulatory standards and the ability to supervise operatives to deliver safe, high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' supervisory or technical responsibility for electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and relevant electrical regulations.
• Experience with inspection, testing, verification and certification.
• Ability to provide clear technical guidance and challenge non-compliant workmanship.
• Experience with NICEIC assessments and surveillance visits.
• Willingness to maintain NICEIC registration and high workmanship standards.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for day-to-day quality and compliance of electrical work.
• Supervise electrical operatives and ensure competency.
• Ensure work meets BS 7671 and regulatory standards.
• Review and verify electrical installation work for technical compliance.
• Ensure inspection, testing and verification results are recorded.
• Oversee completion and issuing of electrical certificates and reports.
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of electrical standards and best practice.
• Support NICEIC assessments and surveillance visits as required.
