Job summary

Rullion is recruiting an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical infrastructure and building services projects in a heavy industrial setting. The role covers tunnels, depots, ferries and operational facilities, with delivery from scoping through to completion.

You will manage budgets, programmes and risks, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with BS 7671 standards while working in live environments. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing electrical projects within heavy industrial, infrastructure or operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and BS 7671 requirements.
  • Experience with LV infrastructure, switchgear, power distribution, lighting and testing.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical infrastructure projects from scope to completion.
  • Develop technical briefs and review designs, surveys and reports.
  • Oversee surveys, remedial works and asset replacement programmes.
  • Coordinate works within live environments with safety and minimal disruption.

Electrical Project Manager

Contract Type: Contract, Inside IR35
Duration: 6 months ongoing
Location: Wallasey, office based
Pay Rate: £530 - £560 per day DOE

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and support electrical infrastructure and building services projects.

This is a heavy industrial and infrastructure-focused role, so candidates must have experience working within complex operational environments such as rail, civil engineering, tunnels, transport infrastructure or similar.

The role will cover electrical works across assets including tunnels, bus depots, ferry terminals and operational facilities, managing projects from initial scoping through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage electrical infrastructure and building services projects from scope through to completion.
  • Develop technical briefs and review designs, surveys and technical reports.
  • Manage electrical condition surveys, remedial works and asset replacement programmes.
  • Oversee distribution upgrades, lighting, emergency lighting, power supplies, containment and switchgear.
  • Manage electrical testing, inspection and remedial works.
  • Manage consultants, contractors and site delivery teams.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards, legislation and BS 7671 requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, programmes, risks and delivery.
  • Coordinate works within live operational environments, ensuring safety and minimal disruption.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants and local authority teams.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager who can hit the ground running and take ownership of projects from day one.

Essential requirements:
  • Proven experience managing electrical projects within heavy industrial, infrastructure or operational environments.
  • Experience in sectors such as rail, civil engineering, tunnels, transport infrastructure, industrial facilities or similar.
  • Previous experience working with or within local authorities is essential.
  • Degree-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and BS 7671 requirements.
  • Experience with LV infrastructure, switchgear, power distribution, lighting, containment and electrical testing.
  • Strong project, programme, budget and risk management experience.Experience managing consultants and contractors.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working safely within live operational environments.
  • Ability to work independently and hit the ground running with minimal training.
  • Must be willing and able to commute to the Wallasey office 4 days per week.
