Overview

Electrical Project Manager. Contract - Inside IR35. Location: Capenhurst, near Chester. Rate: £55-65 per hour (Umbrella). Our client, a trusted long-term supplier to the energy sector, is seeking an experienced Project Manager with an electrical engineering background to support the delivery of capital projects. This role is ideal for someone who can lead medium to large-scale projects with moderate to high complexity, particularly those involving electrical infrastructure, systems, and installations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of electrical projects ensuring safety, scope, cost, schedule, and business benefits are met.
  • Develop and implement project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives.
  • Communicate project strategy and benefits across business units.
  • Provide expert input into the development of project delivery strategies aligned with the client\'s capital portfolio.
  • Manage complex contractual relationships, including suppliers of electrical equipment, technology, and IP.
  • Translate project requirements into tailored delivery strategies with a focus on electrical systems and compliance.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree qualified (BEng or MEng) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong technical background in electrical engineering.
  • Recognised Project Management accreditation (e.g., APM, PMI).
  • Proven experience managing EPC contractors and electrical supply chain partners.
  • Ability to influence and leverage relationships with key supplier stakeholders.
