Electrical Project Manager

Overview

We are recruiting for a Tier 1 contractor working on a high-profile data centre project in London. This exciting opportunity is ideal for experienced Electrical Project Managers with a background in large-scale data centre developments, especially those who hold a Black CSCS Card. The role involves overseeing the electrical aspects of multiple phases, including an electrical substation and data centre construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all electrical aspects of the project, ensuring all works are carried out to the highest safety and quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate multiple project phases, starting with the electrical substation, followed by the main data centre construction.
• Lead and manage electrical subcontractors, ensuring timely and accurate project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with Tier 1 contractor standards.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines, particularly for data centre environments.
• Liaise with key stakeholders, providing regular updates and reporting to senior management.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet project deadlines and specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Black CSCS Card or equivalent senior-level project management certification.
• Proven track record of working with Tier 1 contractors, especially in the data centre or electrical infrastructure sectors.
• Significant experience managing large-scale projects, specifically electrical substations and data centres.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, compliance, and regulations within the UK.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple aspects of the project, including technical, financial, and operational areas.

Desirable

• Authorised Person (AP) certification, particularly with high-voltage systems.
• Experience with multiple data centre phases and large electrical infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of commissioning, handover processes, and delivering projects to demanding specifications.
