Job Title: Electrical Project Manager
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 + Package
Location: Belvedere (Office-based 85% / Site-based 15%)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Belvedere. This role involves working closely with the existing Project Manager to deliver a range of electrical installation and control system projects across London and the Home Counties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, generators, and control panel design, with the ability to manage projects from quotation to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quotations and project costings for electrical works.
- Produce technical documentation, including cable schedules, I/O schedules, and termination sheets.
- Develop and maintain risk assessments and method statements.
- Design bespoke electrical control panels and manage their installation.
- Coordinate and book site operatives for inductions and project tasks.
- Oversee and support electrical installations, including fuel systems, generators, generator controllers, and containment works.
- Manage cabling installation, terminations, and connections on site.
- Conduct and witness electrical testing, including FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).
- Carry out wiring modifications and switchboard alterations on fuel and PLC systems.
- Supervise testing and commissioning of generators, controllers, and fuel systems, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
- Arrange and manage subcontractors, approve invoices, and oversee additional works as required.
- Provide on-site technical support, sign-offs, and client training as needed.
- Support and mentor apprentices in electrical installation and generator operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the construction or engineering sector.
- Strong understanding of control panels, generator systems, and PLC control.
- Sound knowledge of electrical principles, wiring practices, and testing procedures.
- Familiarity with relevant electrical standards, health & safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
