Electrical Project Engineer

Location - Rotherham Yard, Braithwell & Normanton West Yorkshire Opportunity to travel across multiple sites and projects in the Yorkshire region.

What you will be doing :

An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Project Engineer to join the Galliford Try team within our Environment Business. Working on our Yorkshire Water Infrastructure Framework, you will work closely with the design and site teams, ensuring work is completed to programme, budget and quality.

  • Outline engineering needs from inception to completion of projects, utilising in-house resources, external consultants, site installation and managing construction personnel.
  • Work closely with the design team to gather required information, and participate in regular internal and external design reviews and Hazard Studies to develop solutions.
  • Liaise with the site manager and site teams to ensure work is completed to programme, budget and quality.
  • Participate in early sire investigation works in coordination with the client, design, and project team.
  • Produce and review health and safety documentation, taking a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of health and safety performance.
  • Be involved in the procurement of materials and preparation of subcontract orders.
  • Work with the team to develop and close out all contract documentation such as, "As built" drawings, Commissioning Manuals and Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
About you :
  • Have an industry applicable electrical ONC / HNC / B Eng or NVQ equivalent.
  • Have experience with ICA.
  • Proven experience working within the water industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven influencing and negotiation skills to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Desire to understand and promote the company purpose, vision, values and culture.
