URGENT PERMANENT APPOINTMENT OPPORTUNITY!

A leading, established and highly successful provider of mechanical and electrical installation services to commercial and industrial buildings is seeking a skilled Electrical Project Engineer with an M&E / Building Services background to join our growth campaign.

KETTERING

Projects range from £1.5M‑£20M+ and may involve hospital installations as well as commercial and industrial M&E installations. This is a genuine opportunity to be part of a fast‑expanding business.

Responsibilities
  • Support and enhance the delivery of projects from a technical perspective.
  • Report to a Project Manager or Contracts Manager and work both office- and site‑based as required.
  • Become familiar with project details, designs and specifications while collating technical submittals and managing the process, liaising daily with suppliers, site supervisors, project managers, EHSQ advisors and subcontractors.
  • Manage site QA/QC procedures, including issuing weekly and monthly QA/QC reports and reviewing/coordinating drawings when requested.
  • Advise and guide sub‑contracted staff on all technical aspects of projects and raise technical requests for information needed to complete electrical installations.
  • Ensure compliance with site and project requirements, including health and safety obligations, and apply troubleshooting techniques to identify problems and provide corrective actions.
  • Maintain document control and keep all logs up to date.
  • Create handover packs and test packs for installed systems, ready for handover.
Qualifications
  • Degree level in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related electrical trade discipline.
  • Experience in M&E installations, particularly in hospital settings, or in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the tendering process.
  • Working knowledge of MS Project and the MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different elements of a project.
