If you’re a competent Electrical Engineer with experience of managing external contractors, the company can teach the project engineering and management aspects.

Key aspects of the Electrical Project Engineer role include

  • Write supply specification, put it out for tender, agree on technical amendments with suppliers and then manage the plant improvement schemes’ delivery on site.
  • A strong Electrical Engineer who wants to get into projects could be well suited, as the project management aspects of the role can be trained.
  • Development of detailed electrical engineering requirements and specifications for plant /process improvements with supporting risk assessments, management of change documentation & process safety considerations.
  • Team fit is key – you’ll be joining a well-established team, someone who is professional, personable and well organised will be a great fit.
  • Projects can be varied; from managing installation of lighting and small power in a new building or installation of new drives and PLCs on a major production unit.
  • The company will cover professional body subscriptions and will also encourage and support team members to gain Chartered status.
  • Salary range of £46.5k-£53.5k includes an uplift of a set amount of prepaid annual overtime hours

The site is going through a large phase of investment and offers team members a generous package including a quarterly bonus scheme which, if hit, pays quarterly, which could mean an extra £5-6.5k per year on top of your basic. They have welfare support for staff, employee discount schemes and have also recently amended salaries to help people adjust to increased personal costs.
