Job summary

Future Prospects group seeks an Assembly Operative / Technician for a full-time, permanent role on the Newark/Mansfield outskirts. Starting salary £30,000, rising to £32,000 after probation.

You will join a small, busy team manufacturing bespoke products and supporting engineering with PLC programming and panel assembly. The role involves wiring and plumbing assembly in control panels, mechanical/electrical assembly using hand tools, stock preparation, and adhering to high quality and safety

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification to BTEC Level 3 or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years working in an electrical engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with electrics, pumps, and control systems.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Check and configure PLC programming with engineering team.
• Assemble electrical wiring and plumbing in control panels.
• Assemble mechanical and electrical equipment safely.
• Prepare and pack equipment to production schedule.
• Test equipment to ensure high quality standards.
• Maintain health and safety in workshop; PPE usage.
• Assist with stock taking and handling deliveries.
