Job Title: Operations Manager (Electrical)

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager with a solid background in the electrical trade. You will be responsible for leading teams, managing multiple projects, and overseeing all operational activities within the electrical division. This role requires strong technical knowledge, proven estimating experience, and the ability to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing day‑to‑day electrical operations
  • Coordinating engineers and subcontractors
  • Planning labour and materials
  • Ensuring all work complies with BS 7671 and industry regulations
  • Overseeing project delivery from mobilisation to completion
  • Preparing schedules, RAMS, and reports
  • Conducting site visits
  • Managing budgets and risks
  • Maintaining strong communication with clients
  • Preparing accurate electrical estimates, quotations, and tenders
  • Reviewing technical drawings
  • Supporting commercial discussions
  • Tracking financial performance
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in the electrical trade, ideally progressing from electrician to supervisor or manager
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installations, testing, and commissioning
  • Experience in estimating and project management
  • Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills, with the ability to solve problems and interpret technical documentation
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and 18th Edition (BS 7671)
  • Testing and inspection qualifications such as 2391, SMSTS, SSSTS, and ECS/CSCS (desirable)
  • Additional engineering or management qualifications such as HNC or HND are an advantage
