Job summary

Dalkia UK at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking seeks a Multi Skilled Electrical Shift Technician to join the Facilities Maintenance team. The role covers Electrical and Mechanical PPMs, reactive tasks and on-site fault diagnosis, with 40 hours weekly across early, day and late shifts and a 1-in-9 on-call rota.

You will work with client teams to ensure high service levels, coordinate subcontractors and maintain accurate records while complying with Health & Safety regulations.

Qualifications

• C&G Part 1 & 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent.
• Health and Safety Training including knowledge of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• GCSEs (Maths and English) or recognised equivalent.
• Experience with fault diagnosis and electrical maintenance.
• Experience in electrical aspects of building PPM schedules.
• Experience in electrical installation work, testing and inspection.
• Understanding of Building Critical and Non-Critical Systems.
• Knowledge of CAFM PPM Management System (Concept) via handheld PDA.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM per schedules to maximise reliability of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Adhere to HASAWA requirements.
• Maintain records/documentation for electrical and mechanical aspects of the PPM and plant.
• Respond to electrical and mechanical reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
• Coordinate initial actions with client requests.
• Coordinate visiting subcontractors for electrical and mechanical aspects of PPMs.
• Respond to call outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies.
• Fault diagnosis for PPM or reactive maintenance.
• Repair and maintain lighting and distribution systems.
• Assist other trades when needed and work across disciplines when required.
• Provide reports on work and equipment as required.
• Undertake miscellaneous duties as requested; work as part of a team.
• Understand site-based systems and interactions.
• Carry out L8 duties per Dalkia manual when required.
• Role based at MTC in Woking with travel to other sites as needed.
