Job description

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias and a proactive approach? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our on-site engineering team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a broad range of electrical and mechanical building services systems, helping ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency across the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including LV systems, lighting, BMS, and power distribution.
  • Support the maintenance of mechanical systems such as boilers, pumps, AHUs, and sanitary ware where competent.
  • Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for out‑of‑hours response.
  • Work in line with the Permit to Work system and all relevant health and safety standards.
  • Accurately log and update tasks using CAFM/IT systems and handheld devices.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and report any issues.
  • Support energy‑saving initiatives and contribute to compliance and performance reviews.
Qualifications
  • HND, NVQ or equivalent qualification in a relevant electrical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in electrical building services and plant engineering.
  • Sound understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible and able to travel to support other sites when required.
  • Previous AP/CP designation (e.g. LV, Working at Heights) is preferred but not essential.
