Overview

Electrical Maintenance Technician - Dayshift/Backshift
Location: Inverness
Contract: Full Time | Permanent

Our client is a a leading manufacturer of sustainable wood-based products. An opening for a Dayshift/Backshift Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their engineering team based in Inverness site.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, this role is ideal for a skilled and proactive individual with a strong background in industrial electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical systems across the plant, yard, and offices
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to electrical breakdowns
  • Participate in preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by modifying and updating procedures
  • Assist with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of new and existing equipment
  • Complete isolation/de-isolation tasks in line with our permit-to-work procedures
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation
  • Support other engineering tasks as directed
  • Promote high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices
What We\'re Looking For
  • Qualified to City & Guilds level or above in a relevant electrical discipline
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Knowledge of PLC systems - ideally Allen Bradley 5/40 or Siemens Step 5
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and general IT skills
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organisational and prioritisation abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to work towards completion of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Flexibility to cover shift work as required
