Job summary

SRG is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician in Harlow, Essex, to join a high-performing maintenance team within a process manufacturing environment. The role focuses on preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring plant reliability and operational performance.

You will troubleshoot, maintain, and improve site equipment while collaborating with production and engineering teams in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• CompEx certification (minimum ExF) - ideally Ex01-Ex06.
• Experience with Control & Instrumentation (C&I) is desirable.
• Strong fault-finding and problem solving on industrial equipment.
• Good working knowledge of process machinery and plant systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on a range of process and plant equipment
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective and timely repairs to minimise downtime
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and operational standards
• Accurately complete maintenance logs, job cards, and CMMS records (e.g. SAP)
• Support equipment reliability and plant availability targets
• Assist with maintenance planning, parts identification, and stock control
• Liaise with engineering, maintenance, and production teams for smooth operations
• Provide clear shift handovers and communicate ongoing work effectively; support external contractors when required

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Type: Permanent

Shift: 12-hour day shifts on a 2-week cycle. 7am - 7pm

SRG are currently looking for a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join a high-performing maintenance team within a process manufacturing environment. This role focuses on delivering both preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring high levels of plant reliability and operational performance.

You’ll play a key role in troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving site equipment while working closely with production and engineering teams in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on a range of process and plant equipment
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective and timely repairs to minimise downtime
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and operational standards

Criteria:
