Electrical Maintenance Technician - £49.5k + overtime - Doncaster

The position operates a 12‑hour shift (2 days, 2 nights and 4 off) over an eight‑week rolling rota.

Hours: 6 am–6 pm and 6 pm–6 am.

Holidays: 17 shifts per annum (≈25 days per year).

Pension: Company contributions min. 7 % up to 10 %.

Environment: Industrial processing plant – not a spotless environment; all PPE provided.

Job Summary

Handling the day‑to‑day electrical maintenance of all industrial plant and machinery. Install and maintain new and existing equipment while ensuring production is not interrupted. Perform hands‑on electrical engineering routines in accordance with the PPM as well as emergency breakdowns. Conduct risk assessments on all jobs before undertaking work and comply with all health and safety procedures. Assist other mechanical/operational departments when required.

Qualifications
  • Proven electrical experience in a heavy industry, manufacturing or process environment.
  • Recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship, preferably with a City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, ability to plan and work to tight timelines.
  • Knowledge of PLCs as well as older conventional plant machinery, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
  • Strong communication and IT skills.
