A leading aerospace manufacturer in Cheltenham is seeking an Equipment Electrician responsible for electrical controls diagnosis and repair. The role requires managing electrical safety, executing installations, and collaborating with the maintenance team. Candidates should have an electrical installation apprenticeship, at least 5 years of industrial experience, and be familiar with PLC systems. The Equipment Electrician is responsible for electrical controls diagnosis and repair of equipment and development of controls strategy across the building management system. In this role you will be responsible for complying with regulatory requirements, maintaining, fault finding and diagnosing equipment. You will be required to work in sensitive areas upholding all GE standards whilst producing a high quality of work. You will support the team with controls related breakdowns across various equipment and play a pivotal role in developing our building management system.
The role will be based on day shift - 37hrs per week.
Summary
The electrician is responsible for managing all electrical safety across site, whilst ensuring all best practices are met. In this role you will be responsible for planning and executing electrical installations, complying with regulatory requirements, maintaining, fault finding and diagnosing equipment. You will be required to work in sensitive areas upholding all GE standards whilst producing a high quality of work. The role will be based on dayshift, but due to the nature of the role you may be asked to work outside of standard working hours to meet business needs.
