Electrical Maintenance Technician

Salary: £41,000 - £43,000+ Overtime

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled and self-sufficient Electrical Engineer to join our client's manufacturing factory in Carlisle. You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving industrial equipment, ensuring all systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repair on a range of industrial equipment and automation systems.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement of production processes.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
About You
  • Qualified Electrical Engineer (HNC/HND or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of industrial processes, automation, and control systems.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical equipment within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • Able to work independently and demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Self‑motivated, reliable, and proactive in approach.
