Job summary

Unitemps Harper Adams is seeking an Electrical Maintenance & Installation Engineer to support healthcare facilities across Telford and Wolverhampton. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, installation work, fault finding, and inspection/testing activities within busy project teams, ensuring work is completed safely and in line with current regulations.

You will document test results and certifications, maintain high safety standards, and liaise with site

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Previous experience in electrical installation and maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Undertake electrical installation works on healthcare and commercial facilities.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
• Conduct inspection and testing of electrical systems and installations.
• Complete all associated certification and compliance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with BS7671 Wiring Regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
• Liaise effectively with site managers, clients, and other trades on site.

Electrical Maintenance & Installation Engineer

Location: Telford & Wolverhampton

Job Type: Temporary (potential for ongoing work)

Pay Rate: £22.00 - £25.00 per hour DOE

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor operating within the healthcare sector for an experienced Electrical Maintenance & Installation Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy project team supporting electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, and testing works across healthcare facilities in Telford and Wolverhampton.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, installation works, fault finding, and inspection/testing activities, ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Desirable Requirements

• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working within healthcare, NHS, or highly regulated environments.
• ECS/CSCS card.
