Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a leading UK retailer to sustain and repair automated warehouse systems in a 24/7 operation.

You will fault-find PLC-controlled equipment, perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, robotics and pneumatics, and ensure safety and efficiency across the site with the support of ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Fault-find, diagnose and repair PLC-controlled equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and robotic systems.
• Maintain warehouse plant and building management systems.
• Record maintenance using PC systems.
• Demonstrable experience in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Fault-find, diagnose and repair PLC-controlled equipment to minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and robotic systems.
• Maintain warehouse plant, materials handling equipment and building management systems.
• Respond to equipment failures, investigate issues and liaise with relevant teams.
• Complete health and safety checks, inspections, risk assessments and accident investigations.
• Maintain organised workshops, stores, spares and designated maintenance areas.
• Work safely at heights of up to 20m, with appropriate training provided.
