Job summary

A leading packaging company in Bradford is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer. The role involves carrying out preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, problem-solving, and supporting continuous improvement. Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a production, packaging or FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working as part of a wider engineering and production team.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and condition reporting.
  • Rapid response to breakdowns and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Setting production lines to job specs and optimising equipment performance.
  • Fault finding and hands-on problem solving across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and engineering development projects.
  • Playing a key role in health & safety awareness and engineering best practices.
  • Assisting with installations, refurbishments, and R&D activities.

Skills

Fault-finding across 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters
PLC programming (Siemens)
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Logical troubleshooting and problem solving
