Job summary

New Resource Group is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias for a busy food-manufacturing site in Westbury. You will respond to breakdowns, fault-find on electrical and mechanical issues, and perform preventative maintenance on automated lines.

Experience with CMMS and a background in FMCG manufacturing are important; 18th Edition is preferred. Working pattern is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm, with occasional longer weeks during peak seasons, starting January 2027.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification required and essential.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Background in manufacturing, FMCG or automated production.
• Engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent.
• Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Experience using CMMS/maintenance systems.
• 18th Edition preferred but not essential.
• Food manufacturing experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and support production on electrical faults.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and planned changeovers.
• Upgrade equipment and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Work safely and manage priorities to maintain food safety and efficiency.
• Support seasonal production and unusual shift patterns when required.
