Job summary

Odin Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing site in Knowsley. You will maintain high-speed production equipment, fault-find electrically with a strong mechanical bias and drive improvements to maximise OEE.

You will work in a multi-skilled team, perform planned maintenance, diagnose faults from schematics and ensure safety standards are met. The role offers a permanent, days-based schedule with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Time-served electrical maintenance or multi-skilled bias.
• Experience with manufacturing/packaging/automation equipment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and diagnose faults systematically.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive reliability mindset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance per schedule and standards.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical and pneumatic faults.
• Respond to breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Maintain motors, gearboxes, conveyors, sensors and control panels.
• Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Perform testing, component replacement and recommissioning after repairs.
• Support continuous improvement to increase uptime and efficiency.
• Assist with installations, commissioning and shutdown activities.
• Complete maintenance records in CMMS and ensure safety compliance.
