Job summary

A leading engineering company in Wytham is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias. The role involves performing planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems while ensuring high standards and excellent customer service. Candidates must have a recognised electrical qualification and strong knowledge of building electrical systems. The working hours are Monday to Friday with shifts, offering a competitive salary up to £42,000.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Electrical Qualification including C&G 18th Edition and Test & Inspection.
  • Strong knowledge of building electrical systems and PPM regimes.
  • Familiarity with BS standards and systems like emergency lighting and fire alarms.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Respond quickly to engineering emergencies and minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with subcontractors and maintain high standards.

Job description
Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Location: Oxford
Pay: up to £42,000
Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:00 one week the next week is 10:00 - 18:00
Right to work in the UK minimum of 2 years in the UK

What you'll do
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Respond quickly to engineering emergencies and keep downtime to a minimum.
  • Work closely with subcontractors and ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Keep accurate logs and paperwork up to date.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional approach at all times.
What we're looking for
  • Recognised Electrical Qualification (including C&G 18th Edition and Test & Inspection).
  • Strong knowledge of building electrical systems and PPM regimes.
  • Familiarity with BS standards and systems like emergency lighting, fire alarms, power, and BMS.
  • A proactive, reliable team player who can work under pressure and make sound decisions.
